Hartford Marathon Information
The Greater Marathon continues on the new course introduced last year which showcases the revitalized riverfront and neighborhoods of Hartford. The new and improved course incorporates fewer turns and elevation increases, making the marathon more attractive to runners, while still offering a breathtaking view of the Connecticut River.
The half marathon, team relay and 5K also continue on the new course implemented in 2007. The entire route offers picturesque scenery and bright autumn foliage.
To apply for elite athlete status, athletes must submit an entry form, completed elite questionnaire and a resume/ biography to the Hartford Marathon Elite Athlete Coordinator identifying race standings for 2 years (24 months) prior to Hartford Marathon race date.
Runner's documentation must be received by September 11, 2010 to be considered for elite athlete status and receive elite athlete benefits.
Marathon Elite Athletes are provided: Complimentary Entry Use of Elite Athlete Hospitality Suite in hotel complete with food, beverage, massage and staffed by race management Pre-race course tours on Friday
Half Marathon Elite Athletes are provided: Complimentary Entry Use of Elite Athlete Hospitality Suite in hotel complete with food, beverage, massage and staffed by race management.
